Sale - Simon Joseph Dupuis to Jean Baptiste Dupuis, his brother

Simon Joseph Dupuis declared that by private act dated Dec. 7, 1801 he had 
sold to his brother, Jean Baptiste Dupuis:
An arpents of land of front with forty of depth, situated in this County on 
the left bank of the Mississippi river, bounded below by the plantation of the 
same Jean Bte Dupuis and above by that which possessed formerly the vendor in 
this neighborhood and that he had sold to Jacques Asselaire, which arpent of 
land of front and forty of depth forms part of the said plantation, and 
belongs to the vendor for having been purchased of his decd. (father-in-law or 
step father), Maturin Landry by private act which he had on hand and which he 
obligates himself to remit to the purchaser.
