All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 6, 2007, 3:44 pm Written: January 25, 1802 Date: January 25, 1802 Sale - Franco Gagney to Santiago Leblanc A plantation belonging to me, situated in this said District on the right bank of the Mississippi river, composed of two arpents of front with the ordinary depth of forty, bounded above by lands of Franco Marionau and below by those of Olivero Brasset, the same which was possessed and purchased of Luis Leonard by deed executed before the Commandant of the proper District, Dn Franco Rivas, on the thirteenth day of the month October of one thousand eight hundred; with besides, the second depth of other forty apents of depth on the same front of the two, mentioned arpents, like this: at all times that the said Luis Leonard would secure of the Governor General, the second concession of a second depth on all the front of the land which he formerly possessed, for which he holds claim, in this case the purchaser to pay to the above said Leonard, the part of the charges which corresponds to him in proportion, which the said second concession is to cause him, with the good understanding, that if it is not obtained, only selling the first depth on the front of the two arpents mentioned and selling same with all its dependencies, free of encumbrances and mortgages.
