All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 22, 2006, 2:21 pm Written: February 6, 1795 Date: February 6, 1795 Sale - Michel Gareuil to Jean Longuelpee A tract situated in this District on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the land of Tranquil Joseph Olivier and below to that of Mr. Joseph LeBlanc, called Adoux, containing two arpents ten toises and four feet of front on the ordinary depth of eighty with the fan shape which might appear in proportion to the front, the enclosures, which might be thereon, in a word, such as it comprises and contains, at present, with the reserve of the cypress trees and the oaks which are found on the same land up to the depth of forty arpents, which belongs to Messrs. Theodor Duga and Hipolite Landry, the vendor reserving for himself, his own the use of one-half arpent of land of front on the river on the depth of one arpent; to use as they deem fit, not being held to maintain and repair the levee and the road of the said half-arpent; which two arpents ten toises and four feet belong to Michel Gareuil for having been acquired of the same Mr. Joseph LeBlanc called Adoux, by act passed before me and deposited in the archives of this Commandant on the date of the 28th of April 1794.
