Certifying that Jaime Yabre resident of this District, claiming a land on the Bayou La Fourche, conceded to him by the Governor, expressed by a decree of the second of October of one thousand seven hundred eighty-seven, which contains wholly the diligences which follow: Senor Governor General: Jaime Yabre resident of this District married with seven children of family, in the best form which I have placed before you at present, that allowing him to make his domicile with his family and children on a Bayou called La Fourche, belonging to this District, he awaits your Graciousness to concede him twenty arpents of land of front which are found in this Fourche. Your Grace which he awaits of you. Jamie Yabre Date: October 2, 1787 New Orleans, second of October of one thousand seven hundred eighty-seven. The Principal Surveyor of this Province should establish this claim on the twenty arpents of land of front bried, being vacant, no person entering prejudice, with the place mentioned, in the foregoing road and fell timber regularly, in the peremptory term of one year and to make null this concession if the expressed term of three expires, and the land is not found established, and it cannot be transferred in the same three years. In the place which this claim asks for, there are vacant lands, for which and in consideration of, he is a working man, and with the family which is expressed, I think that the Governor can concede the favor that he asks.
