All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net February 20, 2007, 1:59 pm Written: April 15, 1806 Date: April 15, 1806 Sale Mrs. Marie Josephe Hebert, widow of Antoine Blanchard in her name and as tutrix of her minor children to Laurent Sigur A tract composed of two hundred fifty-six arpents of superficie, situated in this County of Iberville, on the right bank and on front of the Mississippi river, adjacent on one side to the late Anselme Blanchard and on the other to Honore Braud, like and as it is more amply designated in the figurative plan of Laveau Trudeau on date of the thirteenth of January one thousand seven hundred ninety-eight; which land belongs to her for having been conceded to the late Antoine Blanchard, her husband as it so appears by the concession of the twenty-third of Januray of the same year one thousand seven hundred ninety- eight. And this, for and by means of: another tract of six arpents of front with forty of depth which she declares that her said late husband, Antoine Blanchard had received in exchange of the late Anselme Blanchard, his father, and which the said decd. Antoine Blanchard, her husband had sold to Charles, Paul and Francois Babin in the year one thousand eight hundred and the twelfth of March, according to the act which had been passed at the time, which is deposited in the archives of this County. (Attached to above deed, written in English is the following:) Order - Suit Moller Vs. Segut - Ordered that the Widow of the late Anthoine Blanchard be named guardian of the minors, children, and that upon her executing a conveyance as such, of the land already by her ceded to the Defendant before the Commandant of Iberville, that the defendant pay to Plaintiff amount of purchase due, deducting the sum reported for deficiency in quantity.
