All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 12, 2007, 3:32 pm Written: January 22, 1803 Date: January 22, 1803 Sale - Diego Hernandez to Pedro Flores The works which I have thrown on the levee, road, etc. on: A tract, vacant, situated in this said District on the right bank of the Mississippi river, composed of four arpents, more or less, of front with the ordinary depth, bounded on the upper part by land, vacant portion of Amant Ebert and below by a portion of Pedro Ebert, which was delivered to me, like to the other inhabitants, their portions, by the Commandant who was we understand, Dn Nicolas DeVerbois, in order to make on the same, the road with levee and to maintain them in good condition in order to impede the inundations which by that part, are occasioned in the harvests of the inhabitants at the rising of the river, and to keep free the communication of the public road at all times, with the promise to hold the preference, each one, in order to obtain the possession by concession of his portion of land which has been delivered to him, all other persons who might claim the same; which works and on land I sell.
