Acquittance - Pierre Labauve received of Christophe Artacho and of John Bacon 
(as being in stead and place of David Powen, who verbally had ceded to him his 
portion in the property mentioned hereinafter) certain sum, forming the amount 
of:
A tract of four arpents of front on forty of depth situated in this County, on 
the right bank of the Mississippi river, bounded on the north by the 
properties of Jacques Lele and by the South by those of Isidor Labauve, which 
he had sold to the said Christophe Artacho and David Powen by act passed the 
22nd of Oct. 1802 before Charles DeGrand-Pre, Gov. of Baton Rouge; for which 
he gives acquittance to Artacho & Bacon.
