All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 24, 2006, 2:29 pm Written: January 27, 1797 Date: January 27, 1797 Sale - Athanaze Landry to Jean Meco and Guillaume Webb A tract containing five arpents of land of front and two toises situated on the right bank of this river, on descending, adjacent above to Joseph Marie Landry, and below to Blaisse Rivet, on which is found a house, store such as it comprises, which said tract comes from a sale passed in this office by Jean Pierre Cullerre; the whole for the price and sum of $400 that is to say, $100 cash, and the $300, payable one year from this day, and the said Meco and Webb will pay the interest of $244.6 to the tutor of the minor children of Etienne Babin, who comes in his share of inheritance, and for assurance of the whole, the above said land, circumstances and dependencies will remain mortgaged until complete payment, and for assurance of the said part of the minor child, gives Surety, Mr. Bonnaventure Leblanc.
