On August 25, 1806 Emanuel Landry presented to the Judge for Recordation:

Sale dated April 25, 1806 - Joseph Landry to Emanuel Landry, his son:
A tract of four arpents of front on the ordinary depth of forty, situated at 
Baton Rouge, on the left bank of the river on ascending, adjacent below to the 
lands of Guillaume Cannaingham and above to those of Jean Prosper; the said 
land sold for the price **
