All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 31, 2007, 10:15 pm Written: January 23, 1807 Date: January 23, 1807 Sale - Hypolites and Joseph Landry, brothers to Paul Alliot All their rights, privileges and claims on a tract of three arpents fifteen toises of land of front on the Mississippi river, situated in this County, on the right bank of the said river, at the point opposite the Church of St. Gabriel, adjacent above by the properties of Perseloh Mitchell and below by those of Joseph Ebert, the same that with the approval of Mr. Nicolas DeVerbois, Commandant of the former District of Iberville, where their decd. father made the levee and the road and maintained the one and the other and this in the view of obtaining the ownership of same, as announced by the Baron de Carondelet in his letter to the said Commandant on date of the tenth of August one thousand seven hundred ninety-two; which rights, privileges and claims were transmitted to them at the time of the sale of the property of their decd. father and mother on acquiring the plantation where they resided actually; according to which, the whole is confirmed by the papers of the auction of their property, of the plan which the surveyor, Ephreim Davidson had delivered them, and the Certificate of the Judge of this County, both recorded in the office of the Recorder at New Orleans, in Book No. 9, fo. 196, which have been remitted to the purchaser.
