All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net February 1, 2007, 2:19 pm Written: January 3, 1806 Date: January 3, 1806 Sale - Correction Joseph Marie Landry who declared that by date of Oct. 16, 1804 he had sold to Bernard D'Auterive: A tract, the price for which is inserted is found corrected and overwritten, and that besides, the one and the other not finding this sale sufficiently explained and circumstantiated, they present themselves both in order to pass a more regular and authentic one; in consequence Joseph Marie Landry sells to Bernard D'Auterive - A tract of his ownership with all its belongings and dependencies, such as it comprises and contains, at this time, situated in this County, on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the properties of the vendor and below by those of the purchaser, composed of two arpents of front on forty of depth; which belong to him for having been obtained, in a concession with five arpents and a half more, of which he had sold two arpents and a half, about twenty-four to twenty-five years ago to the person named Joseph Landry, in a manner so that the said seven arpents and a half of land which the vendor had obtained by concession, by means of this sale, there remains to him but three arpents which he reserves and actually resides; has sold and sells the same Joseph Marie Landry, the said two arpents of land of front on forty of depth with parallel lines, to the said Mr. Bernard D'Auterive, for price *** The vendor had further declared that if at any time, the documents which he has in his hands are valid and procure for him, the second concession of the above said plantation, Bernard D'Auterive will have, use and will obtain in this manner, the second concession of the said two arpents of land of front which he has just sold, with the continuation of the lines such as they belong to him in proportion to the whole of the said second concession, on the promise that Bernard D'Auterive makes to reimburse to him, his share, part of the expense which the above said second concession might and would occasion him.
