All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net February 22, 2007, 6:37 pm Written: August 14, 1805 Date: August 14, 1805 Sale - Hypolite Landry to David Hath A tract of fifty-five feet of front on three hundred feet of depth to take on the upper boundary of his plantation on descending up to the concurrence of the said fifty-five feet, and on the said line, he will leave the space necessary for the communication in the depth, without which the vendor would be obligated to deliver him nothing further, the said fifty-five feet of tract of front will commence also from the actual fence of front running in the depth up to the concurrence of the said three hundred feet; which tract we will measure and bound at the common expense; the said tract is sold to the same Mr. David Hath with the obligation to keep it up at the account and at his expense, the levee and the road, against encirclement and drainage of depth on all the front and the depth of the above said tract; selling him the said tract such as it is actually, comprised and contained actually; without the purchaser being able to claim anything on the remainder of the plantation of the vendor, cutting anything, to build, transpose or derange thereon; as to the drainage of the waters of the above said tract, the purchaser might have them conducted to the first and nearest drain of depth which the vendor has near the same tract sold also the said Hypolite Landry to the same Mr. David Hath, the house which the purchaser occupies actually, which he is to take and to remove from where it is at the time, which he will judge convenient. The above tract of fifty-five feet of front on three hundred of depth to take as it is said hereinabove on the upper line of his plantation which he occupies presently, situated in this County, on the left bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the plantation of Victor Blanchard and below to that of Guillaume Germain Dubor, composed of six arpents of front on forty of depth, the same which he had purchased of the Widow Mathe by act deposited in the archives of this County.
