All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 29, 2006, 6:43 pm Written: June 21, 1800 Date: June 21, 1800 Sale - Luis Leonard to Olivero Brasset Three arpents and a half of front with the ordinary depth of forty, belonging to me, situated in the said District on the right bank of the Mississippi river, bounded above by lands of my son, Honorato Leonard and below by those of my ownership, of the plantation which was possessed like this: three arpents of front with the ordinary depth of forty which was purchased of Dn Franco DeLery on the twenty-first of January of the year of one thousand seven hundred ninety-four and the remainder with the same depth which was exchanged with Francisco Marionnau on the twenty-seventh of August of the year of one thousand seven hundred ninety-three by deed executed before Dn Nicolas DeVerbois, Commandant who was we understand, of the said District. Having to run the lines of depth of the said three arpents and a half of land according to and in conformity with the running of those of my said plantation, with moreover, the second depth of other forty arpents of depth on the same of the three arpents herein cited, as at all times obtained of the Governor General of this Province, the second concession of a second depth on the front of all my said plantation, for which I hold claim, soliciting in this case, that which corresponds in proportion to the claim which were occasioned by me, of the second concession, with the good understanding made that at all times not being able to obtain it, only selling the forty arpents of depth expressed firstly on the front of three and a half; which gives him then the option to solicit for the same at his expense, the second depth; and I sell the land free of encumbrances and mortgages.
