All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 23, 2006, 9:17 pm Written: August 26, 1796 Date: August 26, 1796 Sale - Jean Longuelpee to Michel Gareuil A tract of an arpent and sixty-four feet of front on the Mississippi river on the depth of eighty arpents, to take from above the plantation which he possesses (torn) in this District (torn parts) up to the concurrence of (torn) sixty-four feet (torn) is situated on the right bank of the said river, between the land of the Church and that of Joseph Leblanc called Adoux, which belongs to the vendor for having been purchased, half to Mr. Michel Gareuil and the other at the auction of that which belonged to a person named Tranquil Olivier, of which his titles of ownership of acquisition are deposited in the archives of this Commandant. (note at the bottom) The arpent and sixty-four feet of front mentioned in the act hereinabove is sold with all the fan which might correspond to it, in proportion to this same front.
