Quittance - Andrez Martin Lopez received of Gregoire Melanson sum for which he 
owed him for:

A tract situated in this District on the right bank of the Mississippi river, 
near Plaquemine, adjacent above to that of, at the time, Jean Moralez, and at 
present Pedro Flores, and below to that of the free negro named Paul and 
presently the said Gregoire Melanson, containing three arpents of front on the 
ordinary depth of forty; the same which he had sold to the above said Gregoire 
Melanson by act passed before Mr. Nicolas DeVerbois, former Commandant of this 
District, the 28th of March 1794.
