All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net December 16, 2006, 9:04 pm Written: August 27, 1793 Date: August 27, 1793 Sale - Deed of Exchange - Francois Marionneau and Louis Leonard Francois Marionneau to Louis Leonard: A tract of four arpents and a half of front on the ordinary depth of forty, taking from the lower part of the plantation of Mister Francois Delery situated in this Post on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of the same Mr. Delery and below to that of the lady, Widow Pradier, the buildings, enclosures which are thereon, and more, such as they might comprise, understood that the four arpents and a half said hereinabove, the cypress trees which are found on an arpent of front and twenty-five of depth, taking from the lower boundary belonging to the above said lady, Widow Pradier, the present exchange made with the reserve of 3 cabins, which belong to the said Mr. Delery and of which the same is reserved for ownership, also the use of the buildings, yard and garden up to the end of this year; which land belongs to him for having been exchanged by this latter by act passed and deposited in the archives of this Commandant on the date of this day. In exchange, Louis Leonard to Francois Marionneau: His plantation situated on the right bank of the Mississippi river, adjacent above to the lands of Athanase Dardene and below to that of Mister Francois Delery, containing four arpents and a half of front on the ordinary depth of forty arpents, the buildings, enclosures which might be thereon, in a word, such as the said plantation comprises and contains, which belongs to him for having been purchased of Blaise Rivet by act passed by Mr. Dutisne on the date of the 12th of January 1781; reserving fuel wood.
