All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net February 22, 2007, 12:41 pm Written: April 26, 1805 Date: April 26, 1805 Sale - Gregoire Melanson to Thomas Ebert A plantation of my ownership situated at the same place on the right bank of the Mississippi river, bounded above by the properties of Pedro Flores and below by that of Bernard D'Auterive composed of six arpents of front on the ordinary depth of forty; selling same to him such as it is comprised and contains at present without any other guaranty or recourse against the vendor; which land or plantation belongs to him for having been purchased to-wit: three arpents of front on forty of depth of Andrez Martin Lopez by act passed before Mr. Nicolas DeVerbois the twenty-eighth of March 1794. And the three other arpents of land of front on also forty of depth have been purchased of Paul, free negro by another act passed before Mr. Francois Rivas, the sixth of Feb. 1799; as is seen by the two documents which are depostied in the archives of this Commandant; as also by the figurative plan thereof drawn up by the surveyor of this Territory, Mr. Pottier, of the 10, 11 & 12 current month, which he remitted to the purchaser.
