All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net February 20, 2007, 7:57 pm Written: November 25, 1805 Date: November 25, 1805 Donation - Joas Miller to Perseloh Mitchell, his niece, minor daughter of Nathan Mitchell and of Marie Mitchell, his (step-brother or brother-in-law) and (step-sister or sister-in-law) A tract situated at the said place on the right bank of the Mississippi river, bounded by the High Lands or properties of Hypolite and Joseph Landry and below by those of James Goodbe, composed of five arpents of front on forty of depth; which belongs to him for having been purchased of Jean Louis Bouche by act passed before Francois Connell, then Commandant of the District of Iberville, the eleventh day of the month October of the year passed of one thousand eight hundred four; *** making this donation *** with the express condition that Nathan Mitchell and Marie Mitchell, his wife, father and mother of the said Proseloh Mitchell, will have the full and entire enjoyment of the above said land up to the age of majority of their daughter, Proseloh Mitchell; and that at the daughters death, the land shall revert to her mother, Marie Mitchell, unless she has left children.
