All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 10, 2007, 12:31 pm Written: June 18, 1802 Date: June 18, 1802 Sale - Appeared: Champagne Unzaga, Chief of the Chetimachas Nation, with his brother, Juan Luis Unzaga, Antonio, Bautista, Subjects of greater regard, and other Indains of his Village, established at Bayou Plaquemine, and Franco Franchebois acting as Interpreter, declare that they are of common accord that all the Indains of his Village, declare that they sell, to Antonio Lanclo, said place, situated in the same District, on the right bank of the Bayou called of the fork of Plaquemine, composed of thirty-five arpents of front with the ordinary depth of forty, which is to take from the forty arpents of depth of the plantation of Madam Jacobo Schelatre, and terminate at the lands of the same Village, of their ownership; and selling same free of encumbrances and mortgages.
