Contract

I, Jose Ramirez, make contract with Christoval Miler and with Henry Hogland - 
I declare that I agreed to abandon:

Five arpents of land with the ordinary depth of forty, that as to such 
occupation having marked it out, on the Bayou Manchak, bounded on one side by 
the lands of Etaria Bermudez, and on the other by those of Franc Sanchez and 
Maria Cavo; of which lands hold payable the rights, to the Commandant and 
Surveyor, and in consideration of an agreement that I shall establish at Bayou 
Crig, three leagues, but below this Post, I cede to the Royal Dominion the 
rights I hold on the expressed land, and sell the works made thereon and 
palisades to Christoval Miler and Henry Hogland; for price of $50 the half 
cash which I receive, and the other in all the month of September; which 
purchasers might if they agreed solicit to the Lientenant, the title of 
property, with respect to the abandonment that I have made of the said land.

Post of Galvestown, July 9, 1803
Appeared Enrrique Honglan, who delcares that he owes $25 to Jose Ramirez, for 
remainder of payment, and having owed Dn. Thomas Lily, passed the land Vicarel 
Walge who paid the $25 to Jose Ramires and the $25 to Thomas Lily, and 
according to order of this account, it gives all the land to the said Vicarel 
Walge. I, Jose Ramires declare that I have received of Vicarel Welche $25, 
remainder of money according to deed which antecedes. November 8, 1803.
