All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Crystal Devillier oneonone@cox.net January 18, 2007, 3:31 pm Written: February 6, 1804 Date: February 6, 1804 Sale - Appear: The Indian named Champagne Unzaga, Chief of the Chitimachas Nation, with his brother, Juan Luis Unzaga, established at Bayou Plaquemine, and by the Interpreter, Atanasio Darden, declare that they consent and are of common accord, of all the Indians of the Village, to sell to Domingo Burchuois: A tract, belonging to them, of one of the two Villages, which they possess in said place, situated in the above said District on the right bank of the Bayou called of the Fork of Plaquemine, composed of sixteen arpents of front with the ordinary depth of forty, bounded on the upper part by the land which they sold to Felix Braud, and below by those of their ownership.
