September 23, 1916, page 3 Matthew Keating, aged 16 years, suffered the loss of three fingers on his right hand while at work last Saturday on the Cora plantation in Iberville parish. He was operating a corn crusher and his hand was mangled when he made an attempt to stop the machine. The young man is a son of Frank Keating, formerly of this city, and has many friends here who sympathize with him in his mis-fortune.
