(New Iberia, La.) 1902-1944, September 23, 1911, Image 3 Died, at Port Arthur, Texas, on Saturday, September 16th, the venerable Mr. Charles Edward Booksh. The reamins of the deceased arrived the following morning and was buried from the home of Mrs. J. J. Walsh, the ceremony being held at St. Peter's Catholic church in the presence of a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. Mr. Booksh was a native Iberville Parish, being born in the year 1838 and served for four years in the war between the States as a member of the First Louisiana Cavalry. He leaves to mourn his loss ten children, seven from his first marriage and three by his last, among them being Mrs. U. M. Aucoin of Belle Place and Miss Eunice and Mr. Charles Booksh of Port Arthur, Texas. The family have the sympathy of all their acquaintances. New Orleans papers please copy.
