Brown, age 50. Having lived in this city several years the deseased was well known to many of our citizens. She was an exemplary and mose estimable Lady in all her relations. A sincere Christian, and to the neighborhood in which she lived and died, was mostly indebted for a house in which to meet and worship and which they named "Ester Chaple" several years since in honor of her. To her surviving husband and six children our heartfelt sympathies are sincerely tendered. Additional Comments: Ester Dubose McCrea Brown was born in the Darlington District of South Carolina August 14, 1806. She is buried in Magnolia cemetery in Baton Rouge louisiana.
