Beth Dyer, age 68, was born June 17, 1940, and died Wednesday, July 2, 2008. 
She was a resident and native of Grosse Tete. Preceded in death by her 
parents, LeRoy and Ella Beth Dyer; brother, LeRoy Webster; and husbands, Tobin 
Robertson and Frank Ball. Survived by her sons, Michel Dyer and Landon Dyer; 
daughter, Melinda Shaneyfelt and son-in-law, Eddie Shaneyfelt; daughter-in-
law, Priscilla Dyer; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. 
Over the years, Beth was a friend of Bill W. In her 28 years of AA, she played 
an active role as a sponsor; she often took alcoholics and drug addicts into 
her own home and helped them on their road to recovery. She gave of her time 
in endless conversations, many times all hours of the night, giving support 
and hope to those in need. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on 
Monday, July 7, from 9:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by family 
and friends. Interment in Rosedale Cemetery.
