She was a resident and native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Sunday, July 6, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, Plaquemine, on Monday, July 7, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles Wood. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by her nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Able Patureau Jr.; parents, Jack and Lilline Bruce Miller; sister, Elizabeth Miller Callais; brothers, Jack Jr., Harry II and Dr. Maxwell Miller; and nephew, L. Dupont Miller. She was a lifelong resident of Plaquemine. She was a graduate of USL with a bachelor of arts in education. She also received her master's degree and 30 credit hours in administration from LSU. She was a teacher and principal for 40 years, from 1932 to 1972, at Bayou Pigeon, Grand River and Crescent. She was a "backyard" ceramist and bowler with Volunteers and Easy Rollers Leagues. She married Joseph A. Patureau on Feb. 28, 1942.
