He was 81 and a native of Gilbert. He served in the U.S. Army as a private first class in Company B, 82nd Engineer "combat" Battalion in World War II from November 1943 to November 1945. Visiting at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at the church after 9 a.m. Wednesday until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Angelloz Perry; seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Charles "Brother" Perry, Gerard "Cop" and Lela "Tootie" Perry, A.B. "Happy" Perry and Karen Krumholt, Robert "Shugg" Perry and Michael Perry, all of Grosse Tete, Paul and Mary Kay Perry, Glynn, and John and Nichole Perry, Grosse Tete; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Judy and Phil Pevey, Mary Ann and Ray Bayham, and Ena Hendricks, all of Grosse Tete, and Evelina and Dane Walker, Lafayette; 16 grandchildren, Dayna Talbot, Danielle Pevey, Erin Perry, Matthew Perry, Devlan Bayham, Davian Bayham, Ryan Bayham, Angelle Bayham, Lana Hendricks, Lonnie Perry, Chance Perry, Kristian LeDoux, Jennifer Stevens, Lauren Perry, Kathryn Perry and Emma Perry; seven great-grandchildren, Jonathan Talbot, Courtney Talbot, Ali Bayham, MacKenzie Bayham, Darian Hendricks, Michelle Tobat and Krislynn LeDoux; a brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Alice Perry of Denham Springs; four sisters, Bessie Geoghegan, Denham Springs, and Grace Bullen, Lillie Lofton and Ernestine Lowe, all of Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eugenia "Jenny" Perry; and two brothers, Shelton and August Perry. Pallbearers will be his sons.
