BARKER, of this city, to miss DORETTA E., daughter of Henry Tomlinson, Esq., of Baton Rouge. We think it rather shabby now, that friend Jim should have sneaked off in so sly a manner; but we forgive him, in consideration of his promise that he will not do so again! Our friend is a famous hunter, though young--we saw him have a tremendous panther slung athwart his horse a few months back--but in all the lottery of hunting that he experienced, Jim never bagged such a prize as the one above! We give him joy from our heart.
