Complete returns in the statewide race from country parishes could not be learned at press time, but 874 precincts out of 1573 gave Cleveland Dear-94,686; Leche-218,137. In the state. Senator's race from the district, Lieut. Governor James A. Noe won out over his two opponents, L.P. Abernathy and Wood H. Thompson. The vote in Jackson was Noe- 2849, Thompson-912, Abernathy-295. Jackson Parish Sheriff Neil Thomas was elected for his third term, having received more than 500 votes majority over two opponents. The vote was Neil Thomas-2409; I.J. Allen-1103; Leon "Jack" Wilder-730. In the Tax Assessor's race W.S. Barr was re-elected to that office having received 2578, against 1604 received by his opponent. L.L. Kilpatrick led the ticket in the Representative race in Jackson Parish receiving 1123 votes with E.D. Wingate second with 850. Votes cast for other candidates in the race were: W.T. Holloway, 796; A.A. May, 783; J.O. Tabarlet, 658. Vote cast for other parish and district officers were as follows, according to unofficial returns: For District Attorney: Jackson parish: Bergeron-1230; Everett-698; McBride-2077. Union Parish: Bergeron- 2623; Everett-1065; McBride-1398.For Coroner: Dr. C.S. McDonald, 2282; Dr. E. Blume,1810. For School Board, Ward One: G.W. Flanagan, 211; Harvey A. Spillers, 216. For School Board Member Ward Six: W.O. Moore, 365; J.J. Walker, 349. For School Board Member Ward Seven: W.R. Cook, 173; C.M. Womack, 152. For Police Jury Ward One: A.M. Harper, 182; Allen P.
