They were married on November 4, 1850, and that was only a month and 4 days after her sister, Selena died on October 1, 1850. Selena had left a 4 month old baby, William Randolph Goff, and Frances Ann probably was very much needed to take care of him. Their children were Emily, Selena, Ruth and Baldwin Goff, and their daughter, Selena was the first wife of John Wesley Shelton, who was a brother of my grandmother Frances Ann Shelton Kelley who married Cicero Jefferson Kelley, who was the younger brother of Selena and Frances Kelley Goff. Selena Goff Shelton is described as a tiny, delicately built very ladylike person with blond hair and blue eyes. She was born March 8, 1852 sand she died on April 2, 1881 at the age of 29 years. Her father, Moses Goff, was born in 1816, and he died December 28, 1894 at the home of John Wesley Shelton, and he is buried in the Shelton Family Cemetery.Love, Evelyn Additional Comments: Excerpts from Mrs.Evelyn Kelley French File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/jackson/history/letters/gms8francesa.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
