H. Jones, "Henry" as he is familiarly known to his many friends here, is one of the pioneer citizens of Jonesboro. He moved to Jonesboro in 1901, and was one of the first to enter into business after the town was created. He was present when the first lots were sold which was at public auction and brought from $40.00 to $50.00. After spending quite a number of years in various business endeavors, he entered the dairy business in 1920, and has established one of the finest in this section of the country. In addition to his dairy, Mr. Jones has one of the best farms in the parish, having been active in this work for the past 24 years. He served as city marshal here for a number of years, two years as member of the parish school board, and is now a member of the parish Police Jury. Above photos show (top) Mr. and Mrs. J.
