Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Pearce, pioneers of Limestone County in Texas recently celebrated their seventy-first wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Simmons. They married in Jackson Parish, La. and went in an ox-cart to Limestone County, in 1876, where they helped build the town of Kirk. In 1911, after living five years in Coleman County, they moved to Oklahoma. They have six children, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Pearce, 92, was a scout during the Civil War. =====
