We are reliably informed, that on Sunday last, a boy about 12 years old, son of Mr. Tullis, who lives 13 miles South of Vernon, in this parish, committed suicide while his parents were absent from home, by hanging himself with the halter of a bridle suspended from the joist in his father's house. Some of his little brothers and sisters were present when he commenced his arrangements to hang himself and he told them he wanted his sister to have his sow and his brother to have his knife. The children took alarm at his conduct and ran over to a near neighbor's and told their parents what was going on. The parents returned home immediately and found their son dead, hanging by the halter. No cause is assigned for his suicide. Jackson Flag. # # #
