Anderson, 86, of Ansley were held Nov. 22, 2003 at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Samuel J. "Sam" Lamkin officiating. Burial followed in the New Prospect Cemetery in Clay. Mr. Anderson died Nov. 16 at the Town and Country Nursing Home in Minden after a long illness. He was retired from the timber industry. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Earl Anderson. He is survived by his son, Larry Anderson and wife Rosemary of Ansley; brothers, Algon Anderson and wife Helen of Cloverdale, Calif. and John P. Anderson and wife Doyce of Blake Lake; grandsons, Larry W. Anderson Jr. of Ansley and James E. Anderson of Ansley; great-grandson, Nathan Anderson of Ansley; and a host of other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers were John G. Haughton, R.E. Crowe, Natan Kennedy, Floyd Swain, Danny Williams, J. Hugh Weeks, James G. Kennedy, Jim McKinnie and Wayne "Snooky" Kennedy. Pallbearers were Wayne Kennedy, Charles Anderson, Larry W. Anderson Jr., James E. Anderson, Charles McIntire and Casey Weeks. Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
