Mrs. Bell was a native of Bienville Parish and had lived in Jackson Parish for a number of years. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mount Olive Baptist Church near Hodge with Rev. Joe Rice, Rev. Lowell Reichardt, Rev. Paul Johnson and Rev. Warren Newsom conducting. Burial was in the Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Survivors include four sons, William R. Bell and Dugan Bell, both of Quitman; Earl Bell of West Monroe, and Oliver E. Bell of Irving, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Mae Sullivan of Winnsboro; three brothers, G.S. Black of Shreveport, O.S. Black of Dallas, Texas, and Owen Black of Quitman; two sisters, Mrs. Gussie Vail of Quitman and Mrs. Ruth Bastin of Chicago, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren also survive.
