Mrs. Linnie Brown
Hodge, La
   Services for Mrs. Linnie Vail Brown, 86, of Hodge, were held at
4:00 pm, Tuesday, September 5, 1995, in Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Stuart Toms officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olive East
Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown
died Monday, September 4, in Jackson Parish Hospital after a brief
illness.  She was a long time resident of Hodge, and was retired
from Continental Can Co. Survivors include two sons and daughters-
in-law; Clevelon and Ronnie Brown of Hodge, and RE and Janice Brown
of Quitman.  One daughter, Johnye Louise Brown of Hodge; one
brother, Jeffie Vail of Quitman; and one sister, Mrs. Falba Peevy of
Jonesboro. Pallbearers were Gary Brown, Dale Hobson, Kevin Hobson,
CE Brown Jr., John Earl Jimmerson, and Joe Vail.
