Funeral services held for Mrs. Lola Brooks
   Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Mae Brooks, age 81, of Jonesboro, were
held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 1992, in the Ebenezer Baptist
Church. Rev. Truman Leach and Rev. J. W. Kennedy conducted the services.
Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Brooks died Tuesday, February 18, in the Jackson
Parish Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Survivors include two brothers, W.
O. Shows and Coy C Shows, both of Jonesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Willie
Brown of Dry Prong, Mrs. Carmalita Kelley of Winnfield and Mrs. Murline
Blansett of Harrisburg, NC; One step-son, Gary Brooks of Monroe; one step-
daughter, Mrs. Hazel Yeager of Monroe; three step-grandchildren and a number
of neices and nephews.
