Feb., 26, -(Special)- Funeral services for James Culpepper, 80 of Jonesboro were held Sunday afternoon at he Baptist church of this city with Rev.J.D. Kitchenham of Chatham officiating assisted by the Rev. J.L. Dodge. Interment was made in the Jonesboro cemetery.Uncle Jimmie Culpepper was a long resident of Jackson Parish serving in many useful capacities in the affairs of the parish and rearing a large family to carry on his work. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mae Jones and Mrs. Ida Moffatt of Jonesboro and Mrs. Lillie Watkins of Mesquite, Texas, two sons, J.M. Culpepper of Jonesboro and L. C. Culpepper of Maryland, one sister Mrs. Katie McBride and one brother,M. Culpepper of Jonesboro. Mr. Culpepper suffered a long illness and died Saturday at the home of his son J. M. Culpepper of Jonesboro.
