He was a farmer and a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Gansville. Mr. Moffett is survived by four sisters: Nelie Belle Bradley of Gulfport MS, Clarice Moffett of Dodson, Christine Kelly of Monterey, Ella Byrd of Shreveport. Services were held 10AM Friday, November 18, 2005 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Reverend Charlie Hammons officiating. Burial followed in the Gansville Cemetery. ===== Katarina Marie Smith (August 31, 1965 - November 18, 2005) SOUTHERN FUNERAL HOME - JONESBORO Katarina Marie "Kat" Smith, age 40 of Goldonna, passed away, Friday November 18, 2005 at Dubois Hospital in Shreveport. Mrs. Smith is survived by: Her husband: Mark Smith of Goldonna, her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Peterson of Goldonna; three sons: Brandon Smith, Justin Smith and Benjamin Smith all of Goldonna; one brother Prinston Peterson of Jonesboro; two sisters: Rosalind Lows of Goldonna and Gwen Fogger of Jonesboro; her maternal grandmother: Mrs. Leola Weeks of Jonesboro and her Paternal grandmother: Emma Peterson also of Jonesboro. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2PM in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Reverends Calvin Hubbard, Courtland Stokes and Paul Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery near Goldonna. Friends may visit with the family in the Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro on Friday from 5:30PM until 10PM and on Saturday from 9AM until time of services. ===== Edell Barr Turner (October 6, 1919 - November 21, 2005) Mrs. Edell (Barr) Turner, age 86, of Winnfield, La., passed away Monday, November 21, 2005, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield, where she also participated in the Sanctuary Choir, WMU, Keenagers and treasurer of the Joyful Workers Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Home Demostration Club. Mrs. Turner was the daughter of the late James Hardy Barr and Fannie (Jones) Barr. She was also preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Don Turner; two brothers, Truett and James Woodard Barr; and sister, Iris B. Curry. She is survived by her Sister, Emily B. Phillips of Jonesboro, La. and Brother, Murphy J. Barr of Ruston, La. And a multitude of Nieces and Nephews Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2005 and from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Winnfield at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2005 , with Rev. Lindsay Burns and Rev. John Holland officiating. Interment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jonesboro, La. Wayne Curry, Joe Phillips, Jack Barr, Andy Bachman, Allen Johnson, and Donnie Maxey will serve as Pallbearers.
