All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ The Jackson Independant April 12, 1990 Funeral Services held for Mrs. Ruby Henry Mrs. Ruby Lewis Henry, age 76, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, April 7, 1990, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport from injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, in the First Baptist Church in "Jonesboro with Dr. Herb Dickerson officiating. Burial was in the Gayla Traina Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Henry was a native of Jackson Parish. She was a retired music teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas E. Henry. Survivors include one son, E. L. "Bubba" Henry of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Mrs. Mona Durham of Baton Rouge; one brother, J. W. Lewis of Jonesboro; one sister, Mrs. Opal Hearne of Ruston; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Randy Ewing, Leon Whitten, Troy Smith, Joe Harveston, Jimmy Golden and Jimmie Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, or to the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
