E. Hay Funeral services for Charles E. Hay, age 56, of Jonesboro were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 29 in the Ebenezer Baptist Church near Jonesboro. Rev. C. C. Milstead conducted the services. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mr. Hay died Wednesday, July 27 in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Hay of Jonesboro; two sons, Charles Hay of Pasadena, Texas, and Wayne Hay of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Langston of Jonesboro and Mrs. Dot Carpenter of Pittsburg, Texas; two brothers, John Hay of Long Beach, Calif., and Hugh E. Hay of Jamestown; five sisters, Mrs. Edra Murphy and Mrs. Sue Garris, both of Jonesboro, Mrs. Lois Watkins and Mrs. Mary Haile, both of Quitman and Mrs. Randa Price of Castor; five grandchildren also survive.
