Dr. Herb Dickerson conducted the services. Burial was under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Coleman died Thursday, November 6 in a Lake Charles Hospital. She was a native of the Beech Springs community, but had lived in Sulphur for 43 years. She was a member of the Maplewood Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Horace (Bud) Coleman of Sulphur; one son, Jimmy Ray Coleman of Sulphur; two daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Barbara) Russell of Sulphur and Mrs. Ted (Martha) Thompson of Sulphur; Her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Grissom of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Zennie Maude Burns and Miss Willie Grissom, both of Shreveport; one brother, Selma Grissom of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren also survive Additional Comments: Melba Lodee Grissom married "Bud" Horace Jeff Coleman on December 23, 1938 in Lincoln Parish with (?) O.M. W.E.B. Lockbridge officiating. Melba was the daughter of William Zinnie Grissom and Myrtle Ponder.
