L. Gray Funeral services for Mrs. G. L. Gray, age 72, of Jonesboro were held at 2 PM Monday at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Clay with Rev. E. D. Morris, Rev. J. D. Wagnon and Rev. Lonnie Treadway conducting. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Spears Funeral Home of Ruston. Survivors include two sons, J.D. Gray of Yakima, Washington, George Norman Gray of Jonesboro, four daughters, Mrs. Lela McMillan of Quitman, Mrs. Mattie Brooks of Jonesboro, Mrs. Viola Pyles of Arcadia and Mrs. Billy Ray Ames of Natchitoches, a number of grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers were Fred Gray, Henry Gray, Norman Pyles, Emory Cathey, Bill Womack, T. L. Brooks and Huey Gray. Additional Comments: Dora Ardelle "Aunt Dode" Nazworth was married to George "Luther" Gray. Their children include: Lela, Leacie, John D., Ollie V., Mattie, Maxie, Clayton & Dayton, George, and Betty. Dora was the daughter of John Henry Nazworth,Jr. and Nancy Carolina "Callie" Cox.
