L. K. Hartsfield, the Rev. Lowell Reichardt and the Rev. Loy Baird officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Grissom died Thursday night in Hodge Clinic after a brief illness. Survivors include one son, Thurmon Grissom, Hodge; four daughters, Miss Iris Grissom, Mrs. Novis Duck, Mrs. Edna Hanes and Mrs. Mary Lowe, all of Quitman; two half-brothers, Jimmy Loe and Winston Loe, Quitman; two half-sisters, Mrs. Roy Browder and Mrs. Leon Pardue, Quitman; 13 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Neil Lowe, Winnfred Peel, Elton Peel, Otis Walsworth Jr., Kenneth Hartsfield and Roy Earl Koonce. Additional Comments: Etta O. Loe was married to John Edmund Grissom on March 25, 1911 in Jackson Parish, La. with the Rev. F. A. Clampett officiating. They were the parents of Iris, Novis, Thurmon, Edna, Lorene, Geneva, and Mary. Etta was the daughter of John A. Loe and 1) Mary Francis "Mollie" Murphy. "Mama" Grissom lived with her daughters Iris and Lorene in a house within walking distance of Mary G. Lowe.
