McDow, age 54, of Quitman, were held at 2 PM Friday, June 27, in the Antioch Presbyterian Church near Quitman, with the Rev. C. W. Aswell and the Rev. Bob Holloway officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Miss McDow died about 4 AM Thursday in Jackson Parish Hospital after a long illness. She was a retired paper mill employee. Survivors include her father, Norman W. McDow, of Quitman; one sister, Mrs. Ardith Poole of Clay; and four nephews. Pallbearers were Garland McDow, Barnard Turnbow, J. W. Poole, Marion Smith, Ray Poole, Buddy Alexander, Thelton Norred and Paul Gresham.
