Daniel Ramsey dies after long illness
Daniel I. Ramsey, age 73, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, March 5, 1983, in the 
Jackson Parish Hospital after a long illness. 
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 7 in the Buck Edmonds 
Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Rev. C. C. Milstead and Rev. H. M. Roach 
conducted the services. 
Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral 
Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eunice Ramsey of Jonesboro; one son, Henry 
Irving Ramsey of Jonesboro; 
Seven daughters, Mrs. Florence Austin of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Evelyn Frost, Mrs. 
Alice Coleman and Miss Sybil Ramsey, all of Monroe, Mrs. Jessie Lee Luther of 
Georgetown, Mrs. Frances Bell and Mrs. Katherine Coleman, both of Jonesboro; 
Two brothers, Eugene Ramsey and Franklin Ramsey, both of Chatham; two sisters, 
Mrs. Emma Clark of Delhi and Mrs. Rosie Miller of Bastrop; 33 granchildren and 
6 great grandchildren also survive. 
Pallbearers were Russell Austin, Sam Austin, Waymon Bell, Alvin Ramsey, James 
Frost and Tony Truelove.
