Funeral services held for Mrs. Ruth Ramsey
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Ayres Ramsey, age 65, of Jonesboro, were held 
at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 1992 in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in 
Jonesboro, Rev. David Lloyd conducted the services.
Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, near Jonesboro, under the direction of 
Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Ramsey died Sunday, August 23, in the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, 
after a lengthy illness. She was born in Ashland, but had been a longtime 
resident of Jackson Parish. She was a homemaker. 
Survivors include her husband, Joseph E. Ramsey of Jonesboro; one son, Lonnie 
Ramsey of Chatham; two daughters, Doris Thomas of Jonesboro and Dorothy Harmon 
of Chatham; 
One brother, Charles Ayres of Lumberton, TX; three sisters, Estelle Semons of 
Crowley, Nell Womack of Shreveport and Nita Cooley of Pascagoula, MS; eight 
grandchildren.
