MAE JOHNSON Funeral services for Mrs Mae Johnson, age 81, of Quitman, were held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 11, 1986 in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Reverend Tommy Long and Reverend E Alan Wilson conducted the services. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery near Quitman under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs Johnson passed away Thursday, January 9 in the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a long illness. She was a retired inspector of Continental Can Paper Mill of Hodge. Survivors include two sons, Leonard Johnson of Quitman and Arthur Johnson of Bossier City; one daughter, Mrs Louise Rhymes of Carrollton, Texas; two brothers, E F Murray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Glendon Murray of Livingston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs Minnie McVicker of Marion and Mrs Helen Maxwell of Boulder City, Nevada; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Francis Norman, Tim Norman, Dwain Kirkham, Pete Harvey , James Earl Harvey and Jimmy Carr.
