Funeral rites for Cyrus Ellsworth Miller, whose death occurred at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. G.S. Wyatt, on Wednesday morning
following a short illness, were held at Edmond's Chapel on Thursday
afternoon, February 23, at 2 o'clock with Reverend A. A. McKnight,
pastor of the Jonesboro Methodist church officiating. Interment was
in the Greenwood cemetery in Ruston.Mr. Miller was 87 years of age
at the time of his death. He had made his home here with his
daughter for many years. He is survived by two sons, John A. Miller
of Leesville, and Ben Miller of Quincy, California; and three
daughters, Mrs. G. S. Wyatt of Jonesboro; Mrs. S. A. Holt of Lake
Providence; and Mrs. O. E. Hendricks of Ruston. Several
grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.Pallbearers were:
Jack Wyatt, Billie Wyatt, T. O. Dollar, Roy Blain, Grover Payne, Dan
Hagler and Earl Cannon.
