Funeral services for Samuel L. Pepper, 84, were held Monday April
17th at the Transport Baptist church with the Reverend Leroy King
officiating.Interment was in the Transport cemetery under the
direction of the Southern Funeral home.Mr. Pepper, a life long
resident of Jackson Parish died on Saturday, April 15, at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Nettie Neal of Chatham.Surviving the deceased
are two sons, Ira Pepper and Virgil Pepper, both of Chatham, one
daughter, Mrs. Nettie Neal of Chatham and seven grandchildren.
